Cleveland native Ray Jr. continues to put out bangers as his successful career treks on, and today, he debuts the brand new video for his latest hit, “Biggie.” The song, which has over a million plays on Ray’s SoundCloud page, is a true ode to the life of Notorious B.I.G., as Ray not only mentions the legendary rapper in the lyrics, but also matches his flow through certain parts while bringing forth his own originality on the catchy single. “Biggie is one of the biggest songs of my career,” Ray told Complex via email. “It represents what goes on in Cleveland the slang, the fashion and the everyday lifestyle in Cleveland.”
For a song like this, Ray had to do things rather big for the video, and he got his entire crew together to mob around the city with scenes of them rolling through the streets in a top-down Jeep and partying it up at the beach. The release of this video comes just days after Ray dropped his new Gold Packs project, which included 11 new songs and features from Young Dolph, Dej Loaf, Machine Gun Kelly, Troy Ave, Sway, and more. You can stream the project in full below, and check out the video above. “Biggie” is also available to purchase on iTunes here.
