Two weeks into his career and Raed. may be my pick for best new artist in 2016. “Marguerite” is just this Akron native’s second song. His mellow vocals contribute exactly what you’re looking for when you first hear the amazing instrumental. I have this on repeat, and if possible that’s an understatement!

After years in the making Blaq Rocc is finally finished. Shawn K delivers this 8 track project entirely produced by Relta, with the exception of contributions from TrapMoneyBenny on the last song. Just about everything in Shawn’s music stands out from anyone else’s. His raspy voice, melodic singing, and rapid delivery all combines for an artist who has found their own unique style. Influenced by other music innovators like Cleveland’s own Kid Cudi and Chicago’s Chance The Rapper, Shawn is determined to pave his own lane in the rap game. This conscience music spreads a message about self awareness and real life emotions that any human being can understand and connect with. Only two other artists, NicX & 6LACK, make appearances on this EP. You can listen to the project in its entirety below.
