Kanye West talked with Ryan Seacrest to talk about how he felt about Beck winning the “Album Of The Year” Grammy over Beyonce. After almost pulling the same stunt he did in 2009, Kanye stopped himself from confronting Beck as he accepted his Grammy award. West said the following:
“Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game…. I also wanted to stress to people that it’s not a black or white thing at all … We are one race. We are the human race, period.”
Kanye also mentioned that Taylor Swift, the girl who’s Grammy spotlight he stole back in 2009, approached him after the show saying she thought he was right to rush the stage in response to Beyonce’s loss. He also confirmed that the two may be working together very soon, after telling Seacrest “Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work“.
Kanye lastly gave some vague details about his new collaboration with Adidas for the “Yeezy Boosts”. The shoe’s release will have an accompaining fashion show, and 9,000 pairs are expected to be released. You can listen to Ryan’s entire interview with Yeezy below.
As if we haven’t heard enough controversial news about Azealia Banks lately, it appears she’s making headlines again as she announced via Instagram that she would be the cover girl of Playboy Magazine’s April Music Issue. Banks has teased her fans with only a single picture of her posing behind a leopard couch, but the magazine says the shoot was a “frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet.” The issue is expected to hit news stands March 20th.
Another hard loss for today’s music industry, as A-Trak announced via Instagram that his Fool’s Gold co-founding friend Dust La Rock passed away. The 38-year old served as Art Director for the label, working on cover pieces for Kid Cudi, A-Trak, and Danny Brown. Fool’s Gold has released the following statement on their website:
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of original Fool’s Gold co-founder and art director Joshua Prince, aka Dust La Rock. His singular talent and uncompromising vision set a foundation for our label as a beacon for artists. He will be missed dearly by the Fool’s Gold family and the creative community at large.”

Kanye took to The Ellen Show and gave her the OK to air his new music video for his song “Only One”. While the song features the legendary Paul McCartney, the visual features Kanye’s son, North West. J. Cole appears on the cover of the new cover of ESPN Magazine with none other than racing legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. The two originally came into contact when J. Cole randomly gave Earnhardt a shoutout on his latest album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. After that, Earl responded stating how much he enjoyed J. Cole’s“Power Trip” with Miguel and how he was a fan of the hip hop music scene. Who would have though!
Co-founder of ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams was announced dead this morning by other members of ASAP Mob. Yams is credited as being a main component of both ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg’s rap careers, and has even been compared to some of Hip Hop’s greatest such as Puff Daddy and Damon Dash. Many celebrities have showed their condolences over social media, including Drake, Mac Miller, and A-Trak. Yams was known to have substance abuse problems in the past, however no details regarding his passing have been released. We here at Leak Jones are all saddened by the loss of Yams, and will continue to keep ASAP Mob in our thoughts.
J. Cole is officially off the market, after proposing to his longtime girlfriend Melissa Hehol. The two first met 10 years ago when Cole attended school in New York. Congratulations to the new couple from all of us here at Leak Jones!
